- $160 until February 15th

🚩 Changes for 2025 RVA Underground races 🚩

1. USA Cycling (USAC) Annual License required for ALL racers!

See “Your Path to USAC Nationals Starts Here!” section at top of the EVENTS page

2. USAC Points & Qualifying for Nationals:

ALL RVA Underground races are USA Cycling-sanctioned events.
All 4 races are USAC qualifying opportunities.
You can register for any race or the series to earn USAC points.
Pro Tip: Race more events for a higher ranking and those precious call-up points!

3. Series Points Eligibility:

You must register for the SERIES to be eligible to earn RVA Underground series points.
RVA Underground Series points are not USAC points.
1st place winners will earn Champion Status and this year’s version of the coveted RVA Underground Champions Jersey!

4. Cash Purse for Elite & Expert categories

Men’s & Women’s category payouts seeded evenly.
10+ registered in category to qualify for payout.
3-deep payout with 10-19 registered per category.
5+-deep payout with 20+ registered per category.

5. Age-Determined Category Breakouts/Consolidations

Categories can be split into age divisions with 10+ registered, 10-days before event.
Categories may be combined if less than <10 registered.

Race director reserves right to breakout, combine, or remove race categories based on registration totals.

START TIMES

IMPORTANT - Keep an eye open for a pre-race email from us the night before the event!

It will let you know if there are any last-minute changes or other details you need for the race.

Pre-Race Brief: Is MANDATORY and starts 15 minutes before your wave. We take roll call and you will be shown as DNS is you miss roll call – no exceptions!

Awards Ceremony: Awards will be held as soon as we have full podiums or LAST RACE is finished. Awards/Prizes will NOT be given out before or held for those not in attendance.

COURSE MAPS:

The XCO Courses: These XCO courses are punchy, fast, and spectator friendly. Racers will be coming through the start/finish perimeter area and be on trails easily accessible for viewing and pictures. So, bring your family and friends to root you on!

March MudMess course is a slippery ~3 miles with ~310’ of elevation gain per lap.
Escape Leakes Mill XCO course is ~3 miles with ~320’ of elevation gain per lap.
Pleasant Grove XCO course is ~4 miles with ~385’ of elevation gain per lap.
Panorama Unicorn XCO course is NOT for the faint of heart with ~3 miles and ~525’ of elevation gain per lap.

Don’t let the distance fool you, you’re gonna work for this one!

Course Maps: All courses are subject to change. Mother nature does her thing, and we adapt. We will do our best to keep these up to date and will always let you know what’s in store in our pre-race brief.
