WHAT’S ON THE LINE

Series registered racers are competing for end-of-season champions jerseys and individual awards in each of the RVA Underground Spring MTB Races!

The design changes every year. Here's what the 2023 version looked like:

About the RVA Underground Championship Kit

Our first-place winners will score a spanking new and extremely coveted 2024 Champs Jersey!

The jersey is on us and Athlos produces some of the best gear you can put on your body! You can also purchase matching shorts, arm warmers, and other matching kit to show off your hard-earned win.

We will also make a version of the jersey and kit available to everyone, without the 2023 CHAMPION branding of course - you have to earn that one!

Why does RVA Racing use ATHLOS? Because ATHLOS makes the best kits period. The Split Zero design delivers the ultimate in performance without compromise. Race day ready, aero, streamlined and conforming to the body; technology without compromise!

About the RVA Underground Series:

  1. Run a quick-hit early season race series that is “won and done” in 3-4 weeks.

  2. Courses that are short, challenging, and feel like UCI XCO format races.

  3. Early season training series to gauge your winter training and make tweaks before Commonweath MTB Cup, State Champs, and UCI Nationals come on-line.

  4. Give our junior races a chance to ramp-up before VAHS series kicks off!

  5. Pick your poison - USAC and non-USAC Categories!

  6. Earn that Champs’ Jersey - must register for series to qualify for Champion Status and claim that Jersey!

  7. That right -1st place winners score a banging 2024 Underground Champs Jersey!

Get ready to rumble because the Underground Race Series is coming back in 2024! This is a 3-race XCO spring series where all 3 races count towards regional championship status.

Welcome to the RVA Underground race series.

If you want to play bikes and go fast in the woods, this is your jam!

    • These will be the only categories where we report results to USAC.

  • All other categories will be open to both USAC and non-USAC license holders.

    • No USAC points reported or accumulated.
